No we really dont. Were attached to the hip with Zion and BI for the next 5 years. Trey will be the last "max like" slot. Herb hopefully will come a little cheaper than expected, but thats the core after next summer. Filled with a bunch of "guys."

You're expecting more than 3 max or near max guys?

Wonder if we're the 3rd team in Strus sign and trade.

Correct

Then our core of Zion/BI/Herb/Trey in the new CBA year will account for less salary as a % of the luxury tax then our current 4 highest paid players.

Gabe Vincent to Lakers for their MLE

Another good signing by them

It wasnt an out, its a given.

Both opportunities had a CJ less directive. The other just had significant amount more Cap Space to sign essentially any A+ Tier guy you wanted at the trade deadline or following offseason. Your entire next half decade is praying that BI and Zion find the fountain of youth. Good Luck.

I'm always weary of dudes who really only played well most recently.

Vincent was objectively a below average basketball player in the regular season. If the Lakers are getting that guy, not good for them.

We're never ever ever ever getting an A+ guy anywhere other than the draft.

Name all the A+ guys who signed in free agency or were traded to a team of our caliber. It never happens.

Tooling the roster for that just doesn't make sense given it's something that just won't happen.

If they get playoff Vincent, solid get.

If they get regular season Vincent, they won't get value.

Are y’all gonna do this again with the Lakers?

“Ehh this move doesn’t move the needle for them”

*three months later*

“Wow they’re now contenders because of the moves they made the pels are such trash when we coulda got him”

Lakers are not bringing back Schroder. That will be a move they regret IMO, he was crucial to their playoff runs
