Yeah, especially since Zach Collins also got ejected for elbowing Westbrook to the head.

Lakers got a week off less than a month into the season, then came off their all star break with:

Detroit playing on the 2nd night of a road b2b
San Antonio playing on the 2nd night of a road b2b
Phoenix
San Antonio
San Antonio on the 2nd night of a b2b
Indiana playing on the 2nd night of a road b2b
Portland playing on the 2nd night of a road b2b

Obviously a coincidence

Yeah they’re going to makeup some ground and stack some wins, not because they’re good but because they’re the beneficiaries of an easy arse schedule like they coincidentally seem to have every single year.

is this correct:
teams in the same division play the same easy arse teams?

Yes

They’ve just had the shitty spurs 3 times in the last 4…and the Pistons.
They had an entire week off after playing the nets. They’ve had 1 back to back and 10 of their 18 at home…

Compare to our schedule…already played 1 additional game, played 2 additional on the road… 3 back to backs already, only played the spurs and rockets as the teams you might think would suck.

So yes… it’s correct.

They're about as healthy as they'll ever be this season. I expect them to be .500 at the very least. People underestimate how big it was for them to get Schroeder and Bryant back. They have decent depth with those guys.

easy so far but that will change. The 5 days off was bullshite as is the multiple rest advantage games but the Spurs 3x in a week is just scheduling quirk as they try to limit some travel. It will catch back up

I'm going to just ignore that Toni is averaging 29 and 14 over his last ten games.

Eventually, it will all regress to zero (minutes played).

They've also played the least number of games of any team in the NBA this season --

11 of their first 16 games were in LA --

And yes, would be interesting to see an analysis of how many times they've caught teams on their second game back-to-back..

If they're playing Houston's schedule they might very well have the worst record in the league.

Yep, Lakers were gifted an easy start and they are 7-11

I honestly have to give Darvin Ham a lot of credit for the job that he's done to start the season. Convincing Davis to play center is an extraordinary achievement that is netting real results for the Lakers.

And getting Russell Westbrook to buy in to coming off the bench? I really didn't think that was possible.

LeBron has an ankle? On the night they play Hield and Turner. Can’t make this up.
