Agreed. I also don’t think Lonnie Walker can keep this up either

Westbrick is shooting better than LeBron from 3 this season
I love that Westbrook publicly humbled himself, took a lesser role and is now starting to shine. Public sentiment is starting to turn and now he is not their scape goat for a bad season. He was by far their best player last night.

It's up to 28% now. He's not a shooter. He's keeping his attempts down to 3-5 per game. If he knocks down 1 or 2 a game, that'll be enough.

Lebron is now 21 percent from 3. Westbrook 28. Keep shooting fade away threes, Lebron. Everyone likes it. Not gonna be good for the lakers as the season goes on when they have to load manage.

Lakers would need to go on a 5 game win streak just to get a game over .500

Time to consider that, perhaps, Father Time has already won.
It's still early in the season, and measures such as 538's RAPTOR have their limitations, but look at the top of 538:
1) Nicola Jokic
2) Luka Doncic
3) Kevin Love
4) Steph Curry
5) Donovan Mitchell
6) Giannis
Seeing Kevin Love that high is a little odd, but those other guys are not surprising in the slightest. Last season, LeBron finished 12th in Total Raptor.
Where is he now? He's a negative player at #168 in Total Raptor.
Again, maybe it's just early in the season. We'll see, but there's a real chance that our 2024 pick might turn into something special, even with Westbrook moving on.

Plus he is playing huge minutes so far this year.

It’s bizarre to watch a huge talented guy like that play like he’s 6 ft tall.

A historically bad 3pt shooter shooting 3-5 a game is dumb and good for the opponent every time he does.

I've never been so confident in knowing that we're going to have a top 5 pick this season.
there will be intentional player moves at the trade deadline so other teams fall lower in the wemnayama sweepstakes.
still its about as comfy as one could hope for now.
its going to be a very nice pick even if its Mr 6 or 7. that 7 can become a 1 or 2.

The Lakers are at home today, taking on the Cavs, and they have a lead in the 2nd quarter.
But the announcers just said that, with LeBron's two misses so far today, he has now missed 15 straight 3-pt shots. LeBron is now shooting 21% from 3 for the season.

He missed one earlier that didn’t even come close to the rim. It was so short you would have thought it was a pass
I will say Ham has them playing hard but the issue is depth and doing this an entire season.

Lakers ended the first quarter with the lead for the first time this season.

Imagine if 3 years ago someone told you that in 2022-23 Kevin Love would have a better shot at a title in Cleveland than LeBron with the Lakers and LeBron and AD are both healthy and still in LA. That would seem like the craziest prediction yet it's true.

You just hate to see the lakers absolutely collapse in the 2nd half

What's the problem? Their TV commentator, Stu Lantz, just blamed "Murphy's Law."
The Cavs are now up 17 will less that 5 minutes left. The funniest thing recently was an injured Dennis Schroder getting a tech in his sweats on the bench.

Lakers lose again!
Keep in mind that, as bad as the Lakers have looked in this 2-7 start, that they have played six games at home and only three on the road.
The Lakers play at Salt Lake tomorrow, and then they have a "road" game in Crypto against the Clippers, followed by a four-game homestand.
After that, the Lakers will face a 22-game stretch where only 6 of those 22 games will be at home. That runs from November 22nd through January 2nd. That's just brutal, and all that travel is especially difficult for older guys. So, if you're wondering when the wheels come completely off, look towards the end of that stretch.

It really just highlights how discombobulated we are right now that we lost to them.
