Gordon looks bad when he has to create

Games like this are what confuses me about Westbrook. He was good. It was off the bench, but he played 30+ minutes, shot 50% and put up 18/8/8 with 3TOs. His +/- was +18, which was the highest on the team.
So is he washed? People say he should be cut and out of the league. That's a solid game..

It's why you hear the aging star is the hardest to coach because they are the last person to know they don't have it any more. And every once in a while they have a good game, and that makes them think they can still do it, but they can't do it consistently.

Westbrook as a 6th man is EXACTLY where he needs to be on a good(or even average) team.
It's the role Iverson refused as he aged and saw himself a fraught exit. It's the role Westbrook has pushed back against as well, but if he embraces it, I hate to say it, but the Lakers will start winning more games.
He wont be on every night, and that is ok, but he will be able to give you stuff like last night routinely and frustrate most teams. Allowing the Lakers to hit you with Lebron/AD then bring in Westbrook's energy....If Westbrook will embrace it

We are a microcosm of what will be the biggest off court story in the NBA this year. The Lakers are a terribly constructed basketball team with old players and their first round pick is held by one of the best young teams in the league. The league GM's are waiting in line for a chance to frick Pelinka, because the Lakers are desperate. Years of Lebron and the Lakers tampering are coming back around and it feels like the basketball gods are going to levy the harshest of punishments. We aren't the only ones watching and talking.
Edit to add this was supposed to be a reply to longhorn not bronc.

Longhorn must have taken a break from beating it to images of LeBron to come over and post here.

It's confidence issue with Westbrook imo.

Pretty hilarious if you ask me. Pat Beverley effect. Kobe is probably rolling in his grave.
This actually helps us in the long run. Maybe Lakers won’t give up their future picks now and keep Westbrook. Seems like people forgot all the previous games he played for them. He went against Murray…

He wants to play with Lebron saying “he demands certain level of excellency.” As if they aren’t 1-4 last 5.

I would fine and suspend Turner if I was the Pacers. The team is 3-4, playing decent, with some great young talent. He is trying to get traded?
I get it going on behind the scenes. But publicly requesting a trade during the season to a specific team talking about other players and assets. They need to get him in line. This can't be ok..

Why? They're not mutually exclusive?

They have depth, but throwing in caps lock and extra Es, makes it seem like you're implying their depth is unheard of. They have a solid bench, but I just don't see it making a huge difference.
I will say that playing their first game against the Lakers bench probably helped them stand out a bit.
We're definitely DEEPer than the Clippers.
