We'll probably compensate POR with the extra players/picks LAC didn't send

Is there any doubt that whatever move we make will be much worse than this one?

You know Griff is going to give up a 1st for a relic of the past 28 year old the selling team is trying to give away

Then double down on the stupidity by extending for 2 years

I feel like the Pels could have easily beaten that value and still gotten Powell for something we would all have been content with.

I'm probably going to melt because I've been pumping the Powell train for weeks and he was basically free.

I mean WTF we better get a legit star if we pay any sort of price.

for gods sake we are sitting here with two TPE's, one huge, and we couldn't facilitate a trade for Powell to get them way out of the tax?
Powell fits right into our TPE.

Could have got them out of the tax and thrown them some 2nds easily.

Either all of this "activity" by us is just smoke to make it look like we tried to do something at the deadline and failed...or Griff is about to dump whats left of our assets on the older more expensive Portland guard.

Powell was basically a sale you can't pass up even if it wasn't on your shopping list. They literally gave him away.

And the troubling part is that with Powell out, Portland is under the luxury tax threshold and doesn't have to rush to trade anyone else.

Considering we were talking to Hou about Gordon, I really do not know how we didn't steal this one?

Wow, where would Morris go?

He can be a great player. Beasted the Lakers last night. If we are able to pick up McCollum and Morris.. wow..

Gave him away and gave up a 3 & D wing to sweeten the deal too

What if they wanted Herb? Would you do that trade if Herb had to be included?

For Powell?

If they just got back Keon Johnson, I'm pretty sure we could have talked them into something other than Herb Jones.

This is perfect, I’ve barely got any run out of this gif:

No, but if they demanded Herb from Griffin and took literal shite form the Clippers, then that makes this even worse

and by doing that, we'd be a tax team next year unless we could dump Morris or Val or Graham.
We'd have $144M with 14 on the roster next year. Didi & Naji's minimums could be offloaded easily, but that still leaves you at $141M basically, and 2 spots to add.
Tax line expects to be at $140M next year.

Incompetence, thats how.

Griffin turned Jrue, BI, Zion, Lonzo, Hart, and the 4th overall pick into the situation we're in now. Begging for Eric Gordon.

An all time bad GM.

I'm mentally preparing myself, might need to take a few days off if this isn't anything more than a Powell-like dump:

We are gonna give up multiple firsts and young players for Fox and his 25% 3p shooting arent we?

It feels 100% like the Griff way.

I feel like Fox could work here, but literally all of the other players on our roster besides he and Zion would need to be 36-40% 3 point shooters
