Ok so the lakers can still make the play in they just need to be bottom 10 at the end of the season?
Correct

But if the Lakers make the play in and win those games, they would be outside the top 10. That's their only hope. Not technically I guess, they likely finish 9th worse so they'd have something like a 97% chance of staying in the top 10.

Yeah, if they finish at 10th in the lottery, that means there's a 20% that someone jumps up to the top 4 from 11-14 and pushes them back and we lose the pick. So while we could live with them at 10th, we really want them to finish 9th or lower.

If they make the play in, the bigger issue is they are two games from the playoffs. If they win the two play in, the pick is gone.

Damn you’re quick.

Lakers star LeBron James will be out today vs. Nuggets as he deals with nagging ankle injury, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The Lakers are currently one game behind San Antonio for the final Play-In spot.

Lakers complained that the Pels purposely brought back BI against them while Lebron has only played 2 games in 14 days, the 2 against the Pels

Kinda clear to me they are going to pick 2 games for him to play so he can have a chance at the scoring title, but are more or less punting

Yeah, I thought he'd at least try to score 50 today since it's a national TV game and he could get his media puppets to praise him for that.

Say what you will about Lebron but if he was 100% I’m sure he’d play.

Getting a bit scary...for anybody crazy enough to load up on LeBron winning the scoring title way back when. (Yikes)

Any word on Toni? They have a B2B with the Suns tomorrow so I imagine LeBron will play tomorrow but Toni might not play both.

Good news, PHX also have a B2B but are sitting Ayton, Booker, and Crowder tonight for rest.

That is great news. Means they are committed to ending the Lakers play-in hopes tomorrow night.

Perfect.

Dumbass Toni said the Suns only beat them last year because he was hurt so the Suns can't wait to run them out the building.

I’d be very surprised if the suns main guys didn’t play against the lakers. I know Booker did not like what AD said at all there. Could put the nail in the coffin for the lakers if spurs win and nuggets win today.

Looks like a game where Lakers/Suns will both score a load of points, play very little D, and Suns will win with ease. AD might not play...and LeBron & CP3 are big buddies. I'd bet the "over"
