The only person we could sign this offseason that has a chance to play significant minutes is a big that can shoot.

Any guard or wing signing is going to be as a backup.

I'm more inclined to take on a bad contract with some asset attached for those backup roles, unless you can sign Niko. Ibaka or Illyasova would be nice if we can get a first with it.

Brogdon is fairly redundant now.

We needs big wings and bigs

Anyone have any thoughts about maybe going after Satoransky as the first guard off the bench?

Sounds like I'm thinking in an elite fashion then.

I honestly am not very familiar with him. Just seemed like a realistic potential target who on paper seems like what they're looking for.

I have been on the Sato band wagon for several years now. I thought he was the perfect trade candidate 2 years ago and think he is an ideal backup PG. I think he fits with what we want to do seamlessly. Hopefully if we offer above the MLE Washington won't match or we can work out a S&T. Give him that Solo money we just freed up.

The Toronto Raptors have tendered qualifying offers to both Nando De Colo and Patrick McCaw per league sources.

This makes both De Colo and McCaw restricted free agents and the Raptors will retain the right to match any offer sheet either player signs.

I thought maybe there was a chance they would let Nando go considering how long they have held his rights, but I guess it makes no sense whatsoever to do that. Just see what he gets.

Same, I'm in on Sato. His versatility guard/wing, on ball/off ball would be great with this team, IMO.

I've read on some Wizards blogs that they think he'll get a contract around 7-10 mil/year. So, basically what you're saying, in line with the MLE. Maybe give him a bit more and a 3 year contract.

I’m starting to like the idea of Bogdanovic from the Pacers. Overpay a little if needed or if you strike out on Vucevic, Dedmon or a Brooks Lopez type. Ingram or Bogdanovic win 6th man of the year. Him and Dedmon would be ideal on short deals but will probably be wishful thinking.

everybody in the league is looking athose guys.
you want one of them (and i'd be fine with that) you have to overpay

those are the guys that are going to get paid, especially when klay, KD and kawhi stay put. there's far more money out there than there are players to spend it on

Yeah you are right. I understand that. It’s wishful thinking on my part but damn it would be great.

I’d like to poach Sato and Thomas Bryant from the Wizards. They will have trouble matching healthy offers

Garrett Temple would be another guy who is Sato - esque and a good mentor for the young guys

Tbh there are a lot of shooters and big men I wouldn’t mind

Satoransky adds to what they want, which is a versatile team with guys that can play multiple positions. He can play the 1-3.

Go to every team in the entire leagues message boards and all of them mention Dedmon as a target. All of them.

If fan interest has any reflection on team interest dude is about to get paid way more than anyone expects.

Sounds like Dedmond is going to get $15-20m a year, which totally kills the reason everyone wants him right now.

His appeal is that he is cheap and effective. I don’t see him stepping up his game to be worth a big contract.

Right, the key to not overpaying is staying flexible with your targets and wait for the money to dry up. Solomon Hill is the cautionary tale here. Demps could have signed half a dozen comparable players for $3 million or less per year.
