Between these two, but hard to not list Yesterday Once More. Hell, all of their best are almost together to me-I love them all.

Another vote for Superstar. Back it up with the Sonic Youth cover.

Plenty of good ones but I’d go with Superstar.

I can't pick just one, she was one of a kind...

Goodbye to Love
Top of the World
Rainy Days and Mondays
Superstar
Solitaire
For All We Know

The poor woman really just wanted to be a drummer..she was talked into singing by her brother and the record execs. She was brilliant at drumming as well.

Thank you guys for all the suggestions

I had them fooled most of the time. But there’s one kid who’s dad used to DJ in college apparently and he got some. I stumped him on Santa Lucia but he got all 4 Carpenters songs

Song For You
We’ve Only Just Begun
Top of The World
Ticket to Ride

They really had no clue when I dropped Manilow I write the Songs

But they are up the early Afrika Bambatta . Sandstorm almost sent them into a frenzy. Then to make sure I got them going I played Freestyle and MARRS again along with Pixie sticks and a coke. I’m sure I’ll get some complaints tomorrow

Ok, I'm down the Carpenters rabbit hole.

What's amazing is most of these are doing it phonetically in a second language...

Richard Carpenter with the Filipino Karen Carpenter singing "I Need To Be In Love".

Another great sound alike singing "Superstar"

Yet another singing "Rainy Days and Mondays".

A very young MMM's very first rock concert was The Carpenters in 1972. They were amazing.

When I was young
I'd listen to the radio
Waitin' for my favorite songs
When they played I'd sing along
It made me smile.

Was on a cruise that had a band that played nothing but Carpenters music. They said that on many songs, Karen recorded it on 1 take

Her nickname was "One take Karen". Professional beyond her years and enormously talented, she must have been a producer's dream.

Today's singers aren't in her league. Few are.
