Why do you listen to it?

What do you get out of it?

How often do you listen to it?

What is the reason for people loving music?

Nice try Mr. ASCAPBMISESAC man.
Really though, It's the same reason I like any artistic input. It can add new perspective to my thoughts or feelings, but in the case of music, there is an added framework of organization with movement, that can be used to simplify or complicate the thoughts being conveyed. It's fascinating the things that some songwriters can do in songs...and so can you.

I only listen to music so that I can flex on others with my impeccable taste, get attention with my hot takes, and arbitrarily gatekeep entire genres because it makes me feel like my dad didn’t go out for a pack of smokes and never come home.

The right song can give you goose bumps and make the hair on your arms stand up. That's pretty amazing

As I've been getting older, I mostly like music that is chill/soothing(Steely Dan, My Bloody Valentine, Jazz, Bossa Nova) and also like music that has nostalgic value(Yacht Rock, New Wave, etc).

Pretty much any music that can take you to another time or place is worth listening to these days.

A life without music is a life not worth living.

The parallels to life... of how it frames a period... of how it transforms, shifts, and alters both time and space in avenues not known or expected... of it's communal nature... and how it sharing it can make life somewhat better.

And I'm sure there's much more.... like how music can relate to some many different people, of some many different walks of life and different ages, all favorably gathered together at the same moment.

Hard to explain. Makes me feel good. Changes my mood for the better. For this reason, I do not listen to sad music when I am sad. No way. Will pull me down. If I am sad, I will throw on Walkin On Sunshine or something like that.

Playing, that is where it is amazing. When there is a crowd getting into the music, you just can't explain how much of a rush it is. And, you play harder and better. It's just fun. Like being a kid again.

I think it’s something biological, I think my body and mind react to it so that’s why.

It's the much needed spice for life. I'm glad I was born with the ability to play music.

I hate music. It's got too many notes.

Tommy says so what.
