Man, I wish you folks would qualify these questions with a style selection. Piano players are like guitar players, different styles, different abilities.
Chuck Leavell is one of my favorites.

I'm an intermediate player that has learned a few Professor Longhair songs over the years (Hey Now Baby was the hardest to learn). I'd like to try a James Booker song at some point.
My kids get upset when I practice so I'm going to invest in a keyboard soon (w headphones). Also going to make a list of goals so that I can start improving again (been about the same for past decade).
I've debated whether to focus on learning to improve vocals while playing (can't sing), improving & recording my few originals, learning new covers, or finding a local band to play with at times (which I've never done).
If anyone has any advice in this area, I thought this might be a good place to ask. I can read music (piano) but takes me a while to learn new material at times.

Jerry Lee Lewis is easily my favorite due to his fearlessness and ego to take anyone's signature song and try to make it his own. In his heyday he was never conventional or boring.

Charles Brown, Pinetop Perkins. Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock. Question is too broad. Should be sorted by genre.

Booker - Longhair. Got to see them both many times and have yet to see anyone better. But, if your in the NO area. look and see where Josh Paxton is playing. Guy is phenomenal.
