Not a concert but a live performance of a play and it was a great venue.

Saw Widespread Panic’s 50th sold out show there. It’s my favorite venue by a mile.

Did anyone do a party shuttle? If so which should I go with?

no they aren't. They are terrible. The sound bounces of the rock. This is especially true for a band that has a lot of highs in it. The wind will also mess things up big time.

Great place to see a show though. THe stair are killer but just don't drink a bunch of beer.

The gorge is pretty awesome too.

it 100% depends on where you are going from. The shuttles are nice so you can get drunk and get back cheaply. The thing is that if you get more than 2-3 people, an uber **can be cheaper** than a shuttle, depending on where you are heading.

The shuttles are all about the same, just different pick up and drop off spots. They will get you to the show early though, and get you home late.

Never been to Red Rock, but I did see Suzy Boggus at the Backyard Amphitheater in Lake City, CO. back in 2010 and it was a great venue.

This will be our tentative Schedule.

Arrive early Wednesday, driving out to the Frisco/Silverthorne area for the day. We have a room in west Denver (Sheraton) near Red Rocks the first two nights. Thursday, planning on the drive out to Mt Evans early then back for the concert Thursday night

Friday morning, heading up to Rocky Mountain/Estes Park area and staying all day on Friday and Saturday. Back to the airport early Sunday for the flight home.

Have you been to the Garden of the Gods? It's worth the drive to Colorado Springs.

This USED to be the greatest venue. That all changed once da weed got legalized. Why? Because every douchebag around the country decided it's hip to go to RR for shows and be arrogant fricktards. Seriously.

This used to be an annual trip for me for quite a few years. The last two times I went though, the crowd became completely obnoxious. Instead of chill potheads hanging out for a good show at an amazing venue it is now a bunch of frats yelling to everyone how cool they are because they are smoking weed. I really wish I were joking. My friend who lives there and loves this place only goes now if it's a band she can't miss.

Maybe it has gotten better since my last time there (2014 I believe), but if not then consider yourself warned. The chances of getting into a fight are high.

Yea, I thought of that. Hope its gotten better. As for pot, wont be partaking. The wife faces a random drug test at her employment and I have zero interest.

That could be it. Bigger bands are probably bringing out the douchebags. For the My Morning Jacket show there, they were out in full force. My wife had to pull me back from one that I was about to fight, and I'm not some hothead out there trying to scuff it out with everyone.

I think bands that won't draw a travel crowd would be ok. The local potheads are good people

MMJ fans are douchebags!

I saw them live a few years ago. Good show but yes, the fans were terrible. Not as bad as WSP fans but close.
