Black Crowes - House of Blues Houston. It was great because I had zero expectations and it was insane how good they were.

WILCO - ACL - Austin. It was just a perfect setting and a perfect vibe that afternoon. You can watch the entire show here - great recording:

Andrea Bocelli - Vienna last November. Truly incredible show.

So many more, but those three standout.

Maiden - Legacy of the Beast 2019. Took my kids - first concert for the youngest and figured it might be the last time we would get to see them live. Splurged for tickets and ended up in first row beyond the VIP section.

Dude a couple rows in front of us was a Brit with the press. We started talking and when the concert was about to start, he gave us his seats and VIP swag to the kids.

They’ll be Maiden fans forever.

J Geils at The Centroplex in the early '80's. Ossie Brown was DA and wouldn't allow dancing at concerts. Peter Wolf called bullshite on it and urged everyone to get out of their seats and get their groove on. We all did, and there was nothing the cops could do about it. The band proceeded to blow the roof off the joint. Wolf also wrote a letter to the editor of The Advocate ripping Brown a new one. I became a fan for life after that.

Relative to their music (IOW, there are bands whose music I prefer but maybe could've put on a better show):

Yes
The Who
Kansas (with LeRoux)

Day of Rock-n-Roll in the SUPERDOME! , SUPERDOME! SUPERDOME! (Hagar, Nazareth, Heart, Boston, VH)

Van Halen
Nugent
Journey (The Babys)
Rush
Styx

Love their music but concerts were pretty pedestrian:
Bad Company
ZZ Top

Saw them at the Centroplex. Amazing concert! Been a lifelong fan of the Babys since then. They killed it!

Yep. Great show. They worked well together. I probably listen to more John Wsite and The Babys than Journey nowadays.

2014 Fleetwood Mac ~ Atlanta
1982 Journey ~ MTSU
1984 The Cars ~ Houston
1986 Maze/Teena Marie ~ Knoxville

#1 had to be 1985 Live Aid in Philly.
Ridiculous how many stars were there.
