Top songs by each for me, this could change at any minute depending on mood
John - Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)
Paul - Band on the Run
George - Got My Mind Set on You
Ringo - It Don't Come Easy
Of those, Band on the Run is probably my favorite.
Replying to myself to give a few alternate, possibly oddball, songs I like.
John - Mind Games
Paul - Monkberry Moon Delight (that's the oddball song)
George - Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)
Ringo - No No song.
A couple of notes, I really like the album Ram, by Paul and Linda McCartney.
Also, I think one of the best songs post Beatles was a George Harrison song but I hesitate to include it as a solo as it included Ringo and Paul, "All Those Years Ago". Harrison wrote it as a tribute to John after he was murdered, perhaps I am influenced by how touching a tribute it is.

reading this thread , it's scary how much talent was in that band.
This was the first thing that occurred to me. Maybe not necessarily Ringo, but John, Paul and George would have incredible resumes based on solo work alone. Then you realize they were also in the Beatles.
My personal favorites:
Paul--Band on the Run.
John--Instant Karma.
George--My Sweet Lord.
I can't really get into Ringo's solo work. I also know Imagine is really well known, but I am not a fan.

Agree with all the previous posts, and would add Photograph by Ringo and Woman by John.

John - Jealous Guy
Ringo - Photograph
Paul - Let Me Roll It
George - If Not For You
It's difficult to pick just one song from each one of their solo careers. They were all very talented as a group and as solo artists.
In my opinion the solo ranking would be:
1. George (All Things Must Pass album is a masterpiece)
2. Paul (Band on the Run album is one of my all time favorites)
3. John (Too much Yoko on solo music)
4. Ringo
Ringo - Photograph

For the purposes of this thread I'd choose "Live & Let Die", but the song I'm trying to learn to play (hence current favorite) is "This Is Love" by George.
God I miss George! The George - Jeff Lynne collaborations were top notch!!

John - His all suck, so nothing.
You have really terrible taste in music. Plastic Ono Band is one of the best albums of all time. Imagine was a great album. The degree to which Lennon outdid Ringo as solo artists is huge.
McCartney Uncle Albert, Let 'Em In
Lenno Oh Yoko, Jealous Guy
Harrison Isn't It A Pity
Ringo not a fan of his solo stuff.
McCartney is a superstar on his own. Lennon would be too if still alive. The best two solo albums of the group are his.

Imagine is one of the greatest songs ever written. They have so many during and after The Beatles it's staggering.

“Jealous Guy” is just a fantastic, amazing, perfect song.
“Maybe I’m Amazed” is close to being perfect, but it has the offputting Paul-screaming-like-a-banshee parts that detract from the overall effect for me.

Not a single, but George's concert for Bangladesh is one of my favorite albums.

Lennon´s God. There´s something oddly bewitching in the juxtaposition of such a heavy topic with his stark, solid, childlike music.
