The drum solo intro was cool
Everything after that was pretty lame. Fake John for RHCP was trying way too hard.
The worst part was that geigh love song at the end.

Way too fricking hard. Dude looked ridiculous.
The show as a whole was good and entertaining as far as half time shows go. I tend to think the Bruno Mars style of music is stupid and shallow, but it was well done for being stupid and shallow. The guy is definitely pretty talented.

I think Bruno Mars is one of the most talented male artists in pop music right now from what I saw.
He can wail on guitar as well.
It's not my thing, but I thought it was pretty impressive. Especially with the James brown dancing and the split. Definitely a showman.
I don't get people that were criticizing the performance really. Thought it was pretty entertaining.

+1 I had never heard his music before, but the guy is obviously very talented. I really enjoyed his part.
Regarding RHCP, Anthony Kiedis looked so creepy with the stache, and their guitarist looked like a fricking spaz. I'm still glad some Rock made it in the show though.

I enjoyed it. Sounded like late period Motown with a bit of a Latin flair, and the kid had fun dance moves. The shout! cover was a bit on the nose, but it really linked their sound to past greats like the Isley Brothers. At one point, I was sure they were gonna play Land of 10,000 Dances.
I thought it was a real enjoyable show, and much better than the sad trotting out of acts who used to be good. I may even purchase their album. It wasn't transcendent like Prince or anything, but it was one of the best five halftimes, I thought, which is an admitted low standard.

I had not the foggiest idea who the frick Bruno Mars was prior to the HT show. I thought he did a good job. Not my kind of music, but I thought he was entertaining. RHCP were ok. Anthony Kiedis looked pretty fat.
