I had not the foggiest idea who the frick Bruno Mars was prior to the HT show. I thought he did a good job. Not my kind of music, but I thought he was entertaining. RHCP were ok. Anthony Kiedis looked pretty fat.
my exact sentiments. I liked Bruno's James Brown's moves and Kiedis need to put a shirt on now.
I'm just curious what the chili peppers were paid for that one song.
Still think Prince has been my favorite.

i agree. I do not even like his genre of music but I can acknowledge his talent. He put on a good show.

Not a big fan of Bruno, but I thought him and his band put on a good show. The gold jackets were cool and that footwork he showed off made you think of MJ.
It was good to see RHCP, but if you didn't know the words to "Give It Away", you wouldn't know what the hell they were saying.

I was going to say the same thing.
Apparently, all the young posters around here plan on looking like a greek god when they are in their fifties.
I thought it was fairly entertaining. I just didn't really think the 2 acts made a very good combo, but whatever.

I don't like all of Bruno Mars' stuff, but appreciate that he is one of the few pop acts that actually has a shred of musical talent. He has a bit of an old school sound too, which I tend to like.
Could have done without RHCP to be honest...

RHCP were terrible. Could have definitely left them off and it would have been just as good, if not better.
BM was unbelievable. He's one of the very few, if not only, true artist/musician/performer who I would actually pay money to see. I don't see how you can criticize any part of his performance. The drum solo was sick, his vocals were great, and he performed like a star from the 60's or 70's. Very rare to see that these days.

It was pretty impressive for flea to be playing his bass without it plugged in.
Chordless. It's been around for a long time.
I had never heard Bruno Mars music before. I thought, "is this guy trying to be the next MJ?" If that's what he's going for, he did a good job last night.
RHCP didn't go well with Bruno still on stage. And yes, fake John was redculous and looked stupid. Even though they only had one song, it was a good song pick. They should've played more than Bruno.

Bruno Mars is a throwback to the old Motown and Stax records days.
Like James Brown, Sam & Dave, and Jackie Wilson style

I'm sad that some do not recognize the Godfather of Soul:
I blame Kafka for failing to learn the board on this.

Better than I expected.
Bruno looks like he can sing.
I don't understand why RHCP's were even included.
Loved Chad Smiths kit.

Easy fellers, didn't mean to rustle any jimmies. I'm just saying he didn't look like the slim trim party hardy speed freak AK I remember from my youth. I understand he's 50. I'm glad he can still give it away, give it away, give it away now. I would just prefer him doing so a little less nekkid. Just MHO.
well thats way less nekkid than they used to perform. They were almost overdressed by their standards last night

Amps on stage are just for show for big acts.
