Any Gordon Lightfoot makes me think of the beach. No idea why. He is Canadian. Not exactly a surfer or a Beach Boy. My folks must have played the hell out of an 8-track or something during a childhood beach trip????

Nothing about Gordon Lightfoot evokes a beach

Reminds me of sitting on Gulf Shores around 10pm with some buddies shooting the shite and talking about life while getting drunk and playing on the guitar

"Memory" by Sugarcult reminds me of sharing a pair of ear buds and a seat on the bus with my high school crush on our way back from a high school football game with the band.
"I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" reminds me of the most awkward and hilarious makeout session I've ever had.

Twinkle Twinkle reminds me of my daughter. It was the only song she had learned to sing before getting sick.

I'm losing you by Rare Earth.
A buddy and I cut school and rode out to Clearview Mall on my motorcycle to buy it on 8 track. Taught him how to ride a motorcycle the same day, he was hooked. Died on one 4 or 5 years later.

Gangsta Nation by Westside Connection. It was 2004 and it was the first date with the first girl I ever loved. Bitch ruined a perfectly good song. I still have the shirt I was wearing that night. It'll probably be in my closet the day I die.

"Wake Me Up When September Ends" Yes it's Green Day, but it was also September 2005 and I was stuck in Shreveport after evacuating. I just wanted to go home.
Good one, same here

For me Hey Jealousy by Gin Blossoms.
Holy frick. I was coming to post that same song and Shine from Collective Soul. Shine makes me think of drunk freshman year on Jennifer Jean and Hey Jealousy always makes me think of being 21 and having the world in my hands(bright future, cute gf)
