Chris Stapleton
Jamey Johnson
Jason Boland @ The Stragglers
Tyler Childers
Reckless Kelly
Drew Kennedy
Randy Rogers
Good list but I'd Add:
Randall King
Whitey Morgan
Frank Foster
but take of Jamey Johnson! Don't get me wrong I love Jamey Johnson but he hasn't made a new song in 7-8 years now so he can't be on this list.

Seems more like SJW ballads than country.

I love Isbell. He's fantastic live too.
But I just assumed the OP was talking about guys on the radio.

I meant across genres. The people mentioned in this thread are the only ones doing it. Are there pop artists doing similar?
Posted on 7/16/19 at 6:41 pm to diddlydawg7
All three are douche bags and their music lacks substance

I guess im confused. I just took it as you meant all the country guys mentioned/non radio country guys were going to take over the genre. There are a ridiculous amount of good singer/songwriters out there that will not be effected at all by these guys.

A friend recommended Orville Peck. Been listening pretty much non stop since Wednesday. Haven’t heard anything this good in a while.
