For me, I think Chris Stapleton doing Alice In Chains’ “Nutshell” has potential to be epic.

Cody Jinks or Sturgill singing “This Years Love” by David Gray

Always thought it would make a dope country song.

This done by an alt.country act, but speeded up from the original rather lethargic tempo and given a Rickenbacker Byrds, folk rock treatment.

I consider THIS to be the first punk rock record; it would be nice for some punk band to cover it as a tribute

Stone Temple Pilots taking-on “One Thing Leads to Another,” as made famous by The Fixx. Scott Weiland would nail the vocal and the DeLeo brothers would kill with bass and guitar on that groove.

I've always wanted to hear a Skynyrd treatment of "Seminole Wind" by John Anderson.

I'd rather not. He already ruined Tennessee Whiskey.

Gotta agree with this. Staley absolutely murders "Nutshell," man. You can feel his pain oozing from the speakers; it's dark as hell. No one can replicate that. Listen to that song when you're going through some stuff and it floors you.

Sorry, but Aaron Lewis already holds this honor. Skip to the 3:45 mark for it, but the initial 3 minutes show why he is a fun live experience.

this is 100% correct. You will never find a better version of that song that what AIC and Staley did. I can argue this being the greatest song of all time (though I can argue that for quite a few songs, but this is certainly in contention)
