As a kid in the mid-60's, I mostly bought 45's like The Beatles, Beach Boys and Dave Clark Five. I did buy an album by Gary Lewis and the Playboys and a Beatles album, which turned out not to be a true Beatles album, but rather Beatles tunes on organ called 'Beatles songbook'. Actually" my dad ended up liking the album. After that I just listened to radio until 1970, when my neighbor, who had an older brother, turned me on to Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk, etc. So, that being said, what I call my first 'real' album was Led Zeppelin's 1st album. I played that album to death and for a decade, always said it was my all-time favorite album. I bought a remastered copy of the cd a year ago and it was like meeting up again with an old friend. Still enjoy the album, but it has probably dropped down to between #15 to #30 on my all-time list. For the last 20 years, I now call The Soft Machine- Volume 2 my favorite album of all time, listen to it at least once a month. Just recently retired at 62, so I finally have time to enjoy my music collection again! Will be working on a Top 500 album list...

The longest - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, though it's no where near the most.

The most - Quadrophenia - The Who.

Most - probably Shady Grove - Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. Was about this time I bought second guitar (1st was stolen) and decided to learn how to play. No telling how many times I worked on learning that one.

Longest - probably my first LP - Cosmo's Factory. Don't listen to it much now but definitely would.

Fantastic Planet by Failure, just barely edging out Pink Floyd’s DSOTM.

One of the first albums I remember from middle school and that I still listen to quite a bit today. It's also my 16 year old daughter's favorite album.

Van Halen 5150
Van Halen Balance
Guns n' Roses Appetite For Destruction
Def Leppard Hysteria
Motley Crue Girls Girls Girls

My top five most played albums. I've gone through at least two cassettes and two CD's of each one. I put any of the five on and listen to the entire album from start to finish at least once a month. Damn, I really miss the 80's!

Mostest:

AC/DC - If You Want Blood You Got If
-- Bon Scott on vocals, first live album, captures their punk energy.

John Cash - At Folsom Prison (68), At San Quentin (69)
-- really get at the soul of this man through these recordings

Longest (since early 70's):

Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Aerosmith - the first one...Mama Kin, Somebody - killer tracks for a teen

Zepplin - II

Elton John - GBR

Van Halen since 1978. I was 10 and trying to learn the guitar parts. I’m 51 and still trying to get it perfect.
