I have better luck with my "Free Mustache Rides" and "Female Body Inspector" t-shirts than I do with concert tees.

I have an old faded black The Who 2002 North American tour T-shirt, that has a negative type image of Pete Townsend doing his wind up slam on a Richenbacher.

Its got paint spots all over it,and holes from grinder sparks and stuff, but girls come up to me all the time telling me how much they love that shirt and how cool it is.

I am expecting my wife to make it disappear, because that drives her crazy.

Plus, it's admittedly hard to just accept that the majority of good-looking women will be off limits just because of a shirt choice.

If so, they are not worth your time.

Next, bring them to something a little more hard, but accessible like The Breton Sound, Hitchhiker, Bayou Bullets

We're one of only 3 rock bands in town! I plugged every other local act too

FYI, we finished recording our ep last week. Sample track should be dropping by tomorrow, and the whole EP will probably be released late May/early June

Even though I'm not a hard rock/metal fan I would say wear them.

I'm a 80s/90s country guy and love some classic rock (led Zeppelin, journey, Boston, pink floyd, van halen, etc) but you gotta be yourself. There's people out there for everyone and if you have to pretend to be someone you're not you won't find the right girl. Gotta keep it real

Well there are very very few southern girls that like anything harder than 80's big hair. It's been my experience that southern chicks have the worst taste in music.

This is such a great thread, and you came to the right place.

Your struggle is real, but like most things, I simply don't care.

My "don't care" I mean I wear the shirts regardless of what other people think because I don't give a shite what they think. If they don't like me or my shirt, that is OK. I have enough friends.....one of which represents one of the band's shirts I wear.

I have a QOTSA concert shirt on as we speak, and will wear this bitch all day today. To the gym, to the store, and to get the kids from school. Frick it.

The reality is, todays young women are an entire generation removed from a time when other women listened to rock music. Girls haven't en-masse listened to rock since the late 80's. It's not on their radar. For the kinds of girls you're probably attracted to (the clean cut sorority type, I'm guessing?), they mostly listen to Nashville Pop Country and shite they can grind to when they're drunk.

What they want is a sweet, sensitive, clean cut "country" boy who sings about love and having sex in the back of a pickup truck by a creek.

where the frick do you live?

where i live all the 20 something year old women listen to electronica.

and I went to deerhunter last week, and it was a shite ton of 20s women there. Most of them hawt.

South Louisiana. There's a drug rave EDM scene down in New Orleans, but the kind of women he's talking, sorority looking women at LSU, about all are in love with Luke Bryant for the most part.

Don't listen to kingbob. Dude couldn't be more disconnected.

Deerhunter was awesome. Possibly the best show I've seen this year.

Heady, let it go. This is one of the best cringe worthy threads I've read in a long time. I want to see how far it will go.

Dude you're on the right track but not really

Wear those shirts for sure. If you feel the bands aren't mainstream enough for girls to recognize them, maybe go with Slipknot.

But I don't want to see you feebly walking around campus, nervously clutching a textbook over your torso hiding the logo for no reason, scurrying off at the first sight of a girl wearing an oversized tee shirt and nike shorts. No more.

I want you strutting proudly, chest out, chin up, around campus. Girls will flock to you. You are the man. Embrace it. You're killing it already dude. Have fun.

Local BR band, two-man group, yes? Saw them open for Cannibal Corpse little while back at the Varsity. Not bad stuff. Guitarist looks like Pickles from Metalocalypse lol.
