Was the 90's the best era for all genres of music?

It just seems like everything from country to gangster rap was so much better in the 90's!

Apparently there's a lot of anti 90's people on here. Damn! I didn't realize that the 90's was some kind of cursed decade for music.

91-95 is one of the strongest five years in pop music history. 97-01 might be among the worst five year stretches. When it went bad, it went bad quickly.
That's the amazing things about the 90s, how this promising trend in music went to utter shite in the span of a few years. The net result of grunge is Creed and Nickelback.

I don’t know how deep that period is, and I am sure whatever was on the radio then was bad. But if I was making a top 10 records all-time list, I would have at least five from that period.
