Earthless would be a great band to see live at the Varsity.

Had them booked Downtown but was postponed because the ice issues a few weeks back. Already working on a makeup show

Really nice people as well ... was texting her from California trying to figure out if we should postpone the show. Would love to get them on a weekend or a Thursday at least.

The Varsity should take a page out of Iron City's book in Birmingham. Those dudes know how to book shows; although I'm not sure how the size of their venue compares to The Varsity. Hell, even The Station in Lafayette blows The Varsity out of the water in terms of booking. The Varsity's scheduling is vomit inducing, which is sad because I have lived in BR all if my life and I actually enjoy the venue.

Yeah I've seen Down there (The Station) each of the past 2 years, along with others. So Down, a New Orleans band, has to drive through Baton Rouge and The Varsity to get to Lafayette. While they are packing the house and selling out The Station, The Varsity is keeping it status quo and stale with The Molly Ringwalds, POD or Three Days Grace. Maybe mixing in a little Smile Empty Soul for good measure. Garbage.

Also Down doesn't have a
La. date on their current tour which is very odd for them at this juncture. I've seen them mentioned at least a couple of times in this thread. Guaranteed sellout if The Varsity can nut up.

I've seen Down sell out the HOB when the show was just announced a week in advance. I would expect them to add a New Orleans at the end of their run with BLS in May. Also The Station books mostly garbage like The Varsity, its just that they do have the occasional decent rock band, unlike The Varsity.

I was hoping Down would jump on with BLS at their HOB date. I'm debating making the run to Birmingham to see the BLS/Down show. Rumors are Pantera songs may be on the menu.

But I agree that they usually add a New Orleans show as their last date. Usually The Hangar or HOB.
