Luckily I live now where Dallas is the closest major concert draw instead of New Orleans so I don’t have to worry about vaccine mandates.

I am in Atlanta, it's not the city it's the bands/artists that are doing it in a lot of cases. Had I known of these shenanigans before I purchased my ticket I would not have purchased them.
Anyhow, about to head out to dinner before the show. I'll give you dudes the lowdown on the Lakewood scene later.

didn't need a card, test or mask at the cajundome.

Needed a card for The Filmore in NOLA last night. No enforcement once you’re in.
The workflow needs improvement and created a massive line, so about 10 people got to see the opening act.

It’s sad that more Americans don’t have a big problem with this.

Been to two shows recently in St Louis. One had no Covid restrictions at all. One they just glanced at the picture of my vax card. No ID

The rule is there. I doubt it’s consistently enforced on every person at every show.
If you are 100% unwilling I’d say probably don’t go. If you want to give it a shot and if anyone fusses you’d put it on and be ok - go for it. Just bring a comfortable one and enjoy the music worst case.

Went to an outdoor concert last week. They said they would be checking Vaccination Cards at the gate (they didn't). Have another outdoor concert this Sunday where they say they will be checking vaccine cards at the gate (different venue). We'll see what they do at the 2nd site.

Who's asking for proof of a vaccine at concerts? I've never heard of this.

Every music venue in New Orleans as well as most nice restaurants and bars.

Besides venues, Live Nation is letting artists decide as well if they want to comply with the vaccine mandate (which is why the Rise Against show got cancelled, apparently Milo requested it and they couldn't get it done in time)..
I don't think it's a big deal, I'm not gonna tell people what to do but if you don't want to get vaxxed, get tested (it takes like maybe 5 minutes).. both are free, both will eventually be required to fly among other things whether you like it or not

I wouldn’t have to use a fake if their policy utilized common sense. I literally cannot get vaccinated (due to having relatively recently received an antibody infusion) and have better antibody immunity than any vaccinated individual. Yet, that level of protection does not count.
I contacted the city government and even had a councilman advocating on my behalf. I spoke with the director of health with both the city and state. I was explicitly denied and told the order came direct from the mayor. Since her restrictions are purely arbitrary, I will not comply. I live here too and refuse to be barred from the things in life I love.
Thus, the restriction of essential liberty is not rooted in a strong government interest (i.e. public health and safety), and is thus both arbitrary and capricious. That means any such restriction, and enforcement of such, is blatantly unconstitutional, and that’s a hill I’d be glad to die on. I wasn’t about to spend 3-4 months of my life not eating at a single restaurant, drinking at a single bar, attending any sporting events, or seeing a single concert. F$&k that noise!
F$&k Latoya, f$&k businesses enforcing her unconstitutional executive orders, and f$&k anyone else who seeks to put in place similar nonsensical mandates that aren’t well-rooted in actual protections of public health.
The only thing worse than virtue signaling and security theater is when those things are carried out at the expense of individual liberty and common sense.

That sucks to hear, but just go to CVS get tested if that's your last resort... I mean using a fake to get into a concert isn't the end of the world, but the mandates are inevitably going to be enforced at places like airports and who knows what else.. you may even want to get in touch with LA Wallet about getting an exemption if it comes down to that
