Bill Ward and Geezer Butler.
They don’t get nearly the credit for Back Sabbath.
Obviously Iomi and Ozzy were the faces of the band but wow. Next time you’re listening try to key in on the drums and bass connection.
That all.
Who y’all got.

Roger Waters and Nick Mason as well as Neil Peart and Geddy Lee were among the best Bass/Drum line ups but definitely not underrated for either on their music or contribution to the music the band created.

It sounds crazy to say that anybody from the Who is underrated, but I believe that John Entwistle and Keith Moon are the greatest bass-drum combo ever.

Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce of The Smiths. Grossly underrated and completely overshadowed by Morrissey and Johnny Marr.

Yea John Entwistle and Keith Moon fall in that category with Peart/Lee, Waters/Mason.
Greats that can't really be underrated but often not at the forefront of your mind when you think of their music. (except Lee/Peart no disrespect to Alex )

Good one. When my drummer and I started working on "Go Your Own Way" we were just looking at each other like, how is this supposed to even work. It is a weird song rhythmically, but when you get it working right, it sounds so damn good.

You forgot Bonham/Jones, but your point stands.

Probably the most steady. Definitely the most bluesy and jazzy.
Good call.
