I can't discuss exact numbers but I can say this: lolU2. What a garbage nostalgic act. I might go for Beck then bail. Tix will be on the ground.

And there are a huge amount on the secondary market. I've been planning to to scoop some super cheap day of. Frick them for charging $100 a ticket for the upper deck of a stadium.

I'm coming to town for TTB>CRB that Thurs night and would love to see Beck. I don't give a shite about U2.

how much do you think you could get in the building for on the cheap?

The entire upper deck was empty for GnR but they still had about 30,000 people.

I kind of figured as such with all the emails the Superdome keeps sending out about it.

$20-30 in the door, maybe less. For good seats $40-50

Good thing Zack and the gang didn't try to make money scalping tickets for this one.

The lack of ticket sales might say more about NOLA than it does U2. Few years ago I would have been all over this like I was with The Cure show, but I'll never spend another dime in that shite city again.

God, a buddy of mine bought us tickets the minute they went on sale. Shoulda just waited on the scalpers.
U2 had trouble selling tickets the last time they were in NOLA, about 20 years ago. Of course, they were touring behind Pop, which sucked raw arse, and the show was right around Thanksgiving. That's why I blew it off.
I saw them in NRG Stadium about 10 years ago. Solid show. Looking forward to this one. Friends saw them in Dallas earlier this year and said it was great. And Joshua Tree is an album that meant a lot to me growing up.

I don't know. Lots of big acts have been coming here and doing well. U2's problem is still thinking they can sell out a stadium like the Dome. The Arena and Champions Square are killin' it.

Great article from Keith Spera about the concert boom in New Orleans.

I saw them in Jerry World a few months ago and it was packed and tickets were, way more expensive than they are for the show in the Dome. It says a lot more about New Orleans than U2--they are still the biggest band in the world.

Yeah, they sold out two nights at Soldier Field up here... I have long been over U2 as a band I care anything about, so I didnt get tickets, but regretted it in the week leading up to the show. The secondary market markup was outrageous..

Anyway, I happen to be in NOLA next week and a buddy had an extra ticket... kinda stoked.. It's been almost 30 years since I last saw them doing the same record
