Hopefully they won't get all sjw like isbell

I also hope they don't get noticed by the mainstream and start sucking. I like my bands best when they only make like 30k a year

I'm late to the party on these guys. Just listened to the eponymous album from 2015: not a bad song on it. Also checked a few random songs on Spotify: same.

I see they have a song "Bossier City" and call their record label imprint "Bossier City Records." Is one of them from BC, or is there some other connection?

For those of y’all who didn’t download the album from this thread you can stream it on he garden and gun website. It’s released on Friday.

It is their best album so far. Oklahoma stars is my jam right now along with Sunday Morning Paper.

It really is. I can’t understand why they haven’t reached Isbell/Sturgill/Stapleton status.

They are my go to soundtrack for drinking, fishing, cleaning deer, and burning shite.

Agreed. Listening to it now. Honestly took a little while for their last album to grow on me. Liking this one from the start.

This one didn't grab me like prior albums, although I'm really liking it.

It may be the most complete album, although I haven't spotted the immediate crowd favorite for this one like prior albums (D&G - Every Girl, 7&7, Long Hot; GNS - Lorrie; self titled - Bird Hunters).

My guess would be either Housefire, Pipe Bomb Dream or Tornado Warning.

It's it wrong the first time I listened to The Housefire my first thought was Lorrie set the house on fire

I love this album. Much better than the last one. Not sure which one is my favorite yet. Lots of good tunes on this one. Very seasoned and well done on this one

Not at all. Based on his evolution (or devolution) of Lorrie this fits the bill.

Side question: what are some other examples in music in which the writer evolves a character over the course of 4+ albums. I know this can be it’s own thread but I’m blanking. I love the way Evan accomplished this.
