You know nothing about Journey. The best songs by Journey are from the first 3 albums before they ruined the band with Steve Perry. From their fist album there are song such as Of A Lifetime, Topaz, Kohoutek and To Play Some Music that are better than the pop rock that they did with Steve Perry.

Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Boston, etc. I can't stand any of that shite. In my head I think of it as "Trans-Am" rock. I associate it with people like Carl Brutananadilewski from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Thats because when they first started, they were a spinoff of Santana. Santana's music was not the same after the split, either.

Growing up in the Bay Area, Journey was one of the local bands that Bill Graham Presents used to have perform regularly. I can't count the number of times I saw them as non-headliners. I only saw them twice after Steve Perry joined the band. The first time was at the Warehouse in New Orleans. I dragged Coolidge and a couple other guys who also lived in Hatcher Hall (it and Power Hall were the only air conditioned dorms for male freshmen at the time) to see Journey, Ronnie Montrose and Van Halen in April of 1978. Eddie Van Halen stole the show.
