Tool 10,000 days

My favorite Tool album has always been Lateralus for many reasons. I saw them on that tour 5 times starting at voodoofest 2001. I would have more if I could, I was 17.
When 10,000 days came out, it didn't speak to me like I thought it was going to. I liked the album but I was dissapointed in the songs that just didn't have the punch Lateralus, Aenemia did. It seemed like a step back. They seemed to drone on and on.
Fast forward to this week, I'm 35 now and I've been playing 10,000 days on repeat and it's now close to equal to Lateralus to me. It may have something to do with me losing my dad in 2006, and Lateralus was the album we connected on. We listened to it more than once together. The first time just with candles lit.
10,000 days came out a month after he died.
But now listening to the album, it's strong. The 10,000 days/ wings is amazing. Rosetta Stone, Jambi, etc.
And Right in Two is up there will my favorite Tool songs. The Pot, love it. It's also interesting to think Maynard wrote Vicarious at a time before social media
It's crazy how time can change perception on music, and this is a great example, I love 10,000 days now.
What does the board think about this album in Tools discography?

Lateralus
Aenima
10,000 Days
Undertow
Aenima and 10000 days are so close, but slight edge goes to Aenima. I used to skip over Intension, but I love that one now.

It took so long to remember just what happened.
I was so young and vestal then
You know it hurt me
But i'm breathing so i guess i'm still alive
Even if signs seem to tell me otherwise.
I've got my hands bound and
my head down and my eyes closed. My throat wide open.
Do unto others what has been done to me
Do unto others what has been done to you
I'm treading water
I need to sleep a while.
My lamb and martyr you look so precious.
Won't you won't you come a bit closer,
Close enough so i can smell you.
I need you to feel this,
I can't stand to burn too long.
Released in sodomy.
For one sweet moment I'm whole.
Do unto you now what has been done to me.
Do unto you now what has been done
You're breathing so i guess you're still alive
Even if signs seem to tell me otherwise.
Won't you won't you come just a bit closer,
Close enough so i can smell you.
I need you to feel this.
I need this to make me whole.
There's release in sodomy.
For i am your witness that
Blood and flesh can be trusted.
And only this one holy medium brings me piece of mind.
Got your hands bound, your head down,
Your eyes closed.
You look so precious now.
I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this
shite blood and cum on my hands.
I've come round full circle.
My lamb and martyr, this will be over soon.
You look so precious.
You look so precious now.

10000 days - somewhat longer than the average tool song

Much of 10000 days lyrics is a tribute to Maynard’s deceased mother (Judith Marie) who spent about that many days suffering from paralysis.

2 tracks on the album dedicated to her
Also Judith by APC is obviously a reference to her as well
