You are in for a hell of a treat if you held out completely. Jealous a bit of that experience.
But I watched the leak in real time go down on Reddit and a discord chat, it was an epic night, and when it hit we all listened together...
Hell if an experience being the first wave of people listening around the globe together at the same moment, it was a shared experience, really cool

Google the place where Ezekial lived in the walking dead, followed by the album title.

Alright I've listened to the album at least 5 times. Definitely grown on me but my first observation stands. Whoever said Fear was the weak song is out of their mind. Easily the most Tool song and the most complete.
Pneuma is very good but the lack of vocal depth keeps it from being in any top songs from Tool.
Invincible is a good transition song from Pneuma. Same as Pneuma on vocals.
Decending is close to an instrumental.
Culling voices is easily the weakest song on the album.
Tempest is strange to me as it seems a little discombobulated. Has some grit but can't commit to it.
Take this all lightly as it's relative to Tool albums and the talent is light-years above every one else. I love the album but it doesn't sing to me like previous works. If you considered this an instrumental record, it is one of the best of all time. The riffs, timings, effects, contrast are all amazing and such a pleasing experience.

I’ve held on the leaks. Will download from Apple Music when I wake up and listen to the whole thing before work tomorrow morning.
Have read reviews and will need to tame my expectations.

I've listened all the way thru a couple times and still dont like it.
You can only get so experimental/technical/psychedelic/whatever before it just becomes boring. Most of the songs sound like one long filler track.
I do like Jones guitar and Carey on the drums but overall it's very meh.

4 songs in an solid AF this far. Sounds amazeballs on my home system.
Danny’s drumming is second to none on Invincible. So much better this way than live. I was critical of this track when they did it live, but take it back now that I’ve heard the studio version.

I just have to say, in true tool fashion this album gets better with every listen.
You have have have to listen to this on a good system or headphones to get the full effect. It makes a huge difference, one of my old friends, huge fan couldn't get into it, then he told me he was listening on his shitty car speakers and once he brought it in to his home system and family vehicle it was a totally different experience.
This is my favorite tool album atm, can it stay ahead of Lateralus, probably not but damn right now it is, and that had a lot to do with the lyrical content hitting me at the right time in my life just like the album did in 2001

The album is available on HDtracks.com for anyone interested in a “Hi-res” digital version. It’s pretty cheap at $17.99 and you can use the code HiResSummer for 20% off.

I only had time to get through Pneuma on the ride in.
I literally can't imagine it getting better than that song.

Got through one listen. My top two are Pneuma and 7empest, although feel 7empest could be a better song without that Adam solo about 8 min in. Feels like it draws out the song, because he has another solo about 12 min in. Culling Voices is by far the weakest track.
I know the album isn’t short, but limited number of tracks makes it feel that way IMO.
Initial listen order:
Pneuma
7empest
Invincible
Fear Innoculum
Descending
Culling
