I’ve always thought he was an incredible talent who suffered a bit from being in the wrong era.

Obviously he’s really famous now but I think his entire style and sound along with his dance ability would’ve been massive in the MTV era.

He's avv talented dude. Can sing. Can dance. He's short though. I mean he'd be short in Laffy.

The guy can perform. That SB halftime show was great until RHCP joined in. I don't care for his music but I can recognize he's got some talent.

This. To say “he sucks” is wrong. You just don’t like him. But he does not suck.

He’s the closest this generation has to a Michael Jackson. His solo stuff is some of the best of 2010’s pop music, and silk sonic with Anderson Paak is straight fiya.

One of the few mainstream pop artists with actual talent. He can do it all. Not a big fan of the music but the guy can sing.

kingbob's on it ... first time I saw him, it was like watching Michael Jackson and a young James Brown mixed together. TOTAL package talent and entertainer. I have nothing but praise and respect, first "pop" music I've enjoyed in two decades.

Super talented, but that Uptown Funk song makes me want to punch a hole through my radio.

Love the fact that he uses a horn section and seems to carrying the torch for the 80’s R&B sound

Uptown Funk is a great song with some really cool guitar and horn parts but unfortunately ruined for a lot of people when it was played 10 million times that one summer

Almost as many times as The Reason by Hoobastank in 2003.

I was very, very skeptical of having Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl that year and I was blown away by how wrong I was. Remains in my top 3 Super Bowl shows. Talented guy who mixed some old school vibes in with his newer pop music. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the shite out of it. He cranks out some tween fodder but I appreciate his talent.

Bruno Mars isn't my type of music but he killed it at the Super Bowl and one time on SNL a few years ago.

Yep, the MTV era had a lot of showmen/sole performers that could command the whole stage and put on a show: Michael Jackson, Prince, Freddie Mercury, Madonna, etc.

Bruno stands out bc he is one of the few showmen left in music. Arguably, Timberlake & Beyonce can somewhat pull it off as well. It's mostly stoic boring mumble rappers now rapping/singing to a guide track while crowd has a mass karaoke session.
