"Hey Mr. Taxi" sounds like "Walk Away" by the James Gang

my big sis loved the Osmonds growing up
but she hated the fact that everyone thought i looked like Donny (and I did)
but they were all very capable musicians across multiple genres - i never cared much for Crazy Horses, but i’ve always been a fan of this deep cut from the same album:

They all sound dubbed compared to what you'd think would come out of their bodies.

When that lp was first released, and Crazy Horses was being played on top 40 stations, no one could believe it was them. They wanted to go to a more rock sound to try to keep an audience that was growing older, as they were. It didn't last, and they went back to pop sound by the next record.
The Cowsills tried something similar with their lp The Cocaine Drain, but the title of the lp scared off many of the top 40 stations and the rock stations were not going to play Cowsills' music, so the lp went nowhere.

quote:this album was completely self written and performed by the brothers, who sang as always but also played all the instruments, which was new. so you could say "crazy horses" is the actual osmond's sound, and all the bubblegum fluff (entirely written and played by others) from before was just an act.

"crazy horses" appears on many rankings of the best heavy metal albums of all time

Ozzy told Donny that he was a fan of Crazy Horses.

I ALMOST quit hard drugs when I found out the next day that the song I really liked from the previous night was the Got Damn Osmonds.

It's finally been released on Spotify. Pretty good IMO. Too bad it wasn't released b/c I think it would have done well for them.

They don't get the credit for being harder than a lot of the bands being played on AM radio.

BTW in case it’s not obvious… the “crazy horses” are cars LOL
