+1000

My exact same thoughts in regards to Dermot Kennedy.

It's some of the most contrived and soulless sh^% I've heard in years.

"On the nights you feel outnumbered, baby I'll be out there somewhere"? WTH!

I don’t know a single song she sings but she looks like one of those pretentious assholes who takes herself way too seriously.

Was I unclear about that?

Well, that's no excuse for ignorance. I grew up in the 90s, too. Grunge and punk lifer. I can still appreciate new music by talented artists.

I predict in 30 years people won't still be listening to this music like Oasis, Nirvana, etc that never won any Grammys.

Yeah. And a lot of other music, too. What's your point?

Her performance on The Howard Stern Show caught me by surprise because I didn't realize how good her voice actually was
that’s who everyone makes jokes about? She’s not bad at all

Because they have an image they've built in their head and refuse to accept that she got where she is based on talent and not dumb luck.

Is her talent mumbling and looking edgy?? If so, she needs a lifetime achievement award.

Honestly most posters here are just stuck in their own era of music. I'm not a fan of pop but I actually really like both Billie and Lorde

And I think that's fine for the most part, but I'll never understand why that leads them to shite all over anything new and claim today's youth is ruining music. Every generation thinks that way. I don't see how one could lack the self-awareness to see that.

Same. I've never listened to a lot of Lorde, but Billie caught my ear and I consumed everything I could find that her and her brother did. They impress the shite out of me. His solo stuff is really good, too.

Oasis and Nirvana should never be mentioned in the same light.

I know just put Nirvana in to satisfy American 90 audience. We all remember how biblical Oasis was. No offence intended.

I've been on a huge Aurora kick lately. Billie Eilish has listed her video for Runaway as the turning point when she decided to take a music career seriously.

You are always that guy. You showed your 2019 spotify most played and every band was from the 80s and not making music or irrelevant these days. Why on earth would anybody care about your opinion on modern music? Because you always have one and dont know crap about anything good.
