For me it’s “Hard to Handle” by the Black Crowes
Didn’t realize until today that Otis Redding was the original. Listened to the original and I much prefer the Black Crowes.

I recently discovered “I Never Go Around Mirrors” by Sturgill Simpson was done by Keith Whitley before him but that was actually also a cover and Lefty Frizell was the original artist.

I never realized Move it on Over by George Thorogood was a cover until I heard Hank Williams Sr singing it while flipping through the radio a few weeks back.

My favorite are the ones that think Nine Inch Nails covered Johnny Cash's Hurt.

I went quite a long time not knowing that Soft Cell's Tainted Love was a cover...

A few years back, I randomly heard the original one day and thought it was a cover...

Just discovered in the last couple of weeks that 'Not Fade Away' and 'Well..All Right' were both Buddy Holly covers.

Never knew this.

I saw them live a few years back and this was definitely not in their set.

I had been listening to Living Colour's "Memories Can't Wait" since it came out in the 80's and just about a year ago found out it was a Talking Heads cover. The Talking Heads original is cool, but I just love Living Colour's version. Maybe because it is almost like I am used to it and hearing the Talking Heads is like hearing a cover, even though it is not. Weird.

For a long, long time I did not realize that UB40's "Red, Red Wine" was a Neil Diamond song.

The history of that song is damned interesting, with the way it has changed (including lyrics) thru the years.

Until fairly recently I didn’t realize Sublime “Scarlet Begonias “ was a Dead cover. And I’m embarrassed to say so.
