Music board lurker here but I just had my heart ripped out by someone I thought I was going to marry. I’ve never hurt this bad before. I need some songs to get me through my 9-5 without losing my mind. I listen to a variety of genres but here are some I’m listening to so far to get me through the day.
Timshel - Mumford and Sons
Fix You - Coldplay
Whispers - Passenger
Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Israel Kamakawiwo’ole
Agnes - Glass Animals
Does to me - Luke Combs
I’m a softie and seem to have a pretty basic taste in music compared to most people on here but still any help is appreciated.

Old Van Halen, you know, Panama, Hot For The Teacher all that good stuff, AC/DC, ZZ Top, get feeling better, not worse.

Fleetwood Mac - "Gypsy"
Stevie Nicks wrote this about the lowest point in her life. It is an acknowledgment of loss and an uncertain future.
Belle & Sebastian - "Sleep the Clock Around" (the Black Sessions version is best)
Belle & Sebastian - "Get Me Away from Here, I'm Dying"
Ultimately a hopeful and optimistic song; always makes me smile because it played in Forgetting Sarah Marshall when Jason Segal was surrounded by happy couples.
New Order - "Age of Consent"
Favorite guitar riff in history; a breakup song told from both POV, with a sneer.

I’ve been lucky enough to see them twice over the years , and they rarely ever tour anymore ....
But the first time they played it and the other time they did not ...
in that 9 minutes or so of that performance, I was absolutely transported in my mind to a heaven like place .. it’s the purest art I can find . Amazing.

When I am irritable I start of my morning with this by Emily Linge (produced by sina-drums, who herself has at least 30 other good originals and covers of a variety of genres):
Morning Has Broken
And follow it up with 3 hours of Angelina Jordan, who has more than 130 different song videos, of which about 60 have good audio.
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For Me
And I'm Feelin' Good
Feeling Good

Yeah I’m just looking for stuff that fits the sad/depressing feelings right now. Helps me get the emotions out of the way quicker.
