Keep Me In Your Heart by Warren Zevon.
It's a double whammy for me. Zevon recorded this on his last album when he was already dying of lung cancer. One of my best friends used to play this song and Zevon's recording of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" all the time--he always thought it was eerie and amazing that WZ did these songs as he was dying. That same friend died in a car accident a few years later.

Not a song about losing a friend but every time i hear Rollout by Ludacris i think of my boy that died out in the oil field. That was our jam back in 10th grade. I miss that dude.
