I saw him in 2001 (or maybe 2000) at voodoo right after he got out of rehab and he was fantastic.
Couldn't agree more. Great show, never listened to them much before. I was a huge fan after.

actually looks like he cleaned up his act... bet it's a great show.

After hearing Weiland on Howard Stern a while back, I hope he doesn't do much speaking between songs.

I though he was dead.
It's an absolute miracle that he's not.

I'll be there!
Hoping he doesn't play any new stuff (if he's got any). Just play the hits.

Velvet Revolver had so much potential. Sounds like everyone just hated Weiland though.
In his book he stated that he was too strung out to show up and when he did he was terrible. Everyone just got sick of his shite.
He stated that he's now pretty much an alcoholic but that it's easier to control than the smack.

the commercial said songs from STP and VR.

Was at that 2000 Voodoo show as well...they opened up with Crackerman and played a great, high-energy show. Saw them about 6 years later in BR I think and it was God-awful, almost like both the band and the few fans couldn't wait to get out of there...pretty much wrote them off after that.
On a side note, I remember I paid like $30 at the gate for Voodoo that year, and saw about 5 great shows that day...man how the times have changed.

Helluva show.....Weiland kicked arse. Crowd didn't really get going until he played Slither. After that the house was rockin'.

Agreed. He's still got the moves. Crowd was turrible though. He killed the VR songs.

Agree 100%

His new stuff wasn't too bad either
I was thinking the same thing. All three of those songs were good. Gonna have to get the new album in November.

man ... they were awful in the 90's. My tolerance level was super low then .... cannot imagine the horror of sitting through that show.

Was at that voodoo as well. It was 2000 and I remember it vividly because I got left there by my party. Stp, counting crows, Eminem, live, Cypress Hill, Ben Harper, blues traveler and I think 311 was there. I'd say it was their best line up. That was the only voodoo I ever attended so I went out on top.
