They should play the British National Anthem and burn a British flag during it in protest of Brexit. It makes just about the same amount of sense as taking a knee during the American national anthem.

...Roger, back in 1985, your entire band had to record your entire last album in a separate country than you because you are such an insufferable douche....think about that!

...and you have gotten exponentially worse in the 34 years since then!

What an a-hole.

I don't want political protests taking away from my enjoyment of the halftime show and the annual exposing of Janet Jackson's nipple.

It would serve Waters right if Maroon 5 covered a Pink Floyd song at halftime.

What should Maroon 5 do?

Whatever they want to do. It's the Super Bowl halftime show.

It isn't serious if they kneel, it's not serious if they don't. Anyone who gets political enjoyment one way or another from the SB halftime show...I don't get it.

Too many people just want to get outraged.

He's a whack job. On a professional note, he's an awful bass player. He hits a lot of sour notes.

Yeah except that is precisely what The Left has become. The ultimate conformists. Speech codes, political correctness, Identity Politics, Moral Nannies enforcing moral codes, Progressive sloganeering, etc. These are the modern- day book burners.

If you are a “ Free Thinker” you will run as far away from The Left/Progressivism as you can. If you have any respect for reason and critical thinking, the LAST thing you are is a Leftist.

Waters imho, is a musical genius. He is also a nasty piece of work, and always has been. I think he has great insight into human psychology but he is trapped inside a political paradigm that is 50 years old. The script flipped a generation ago and Roger missed it.

So unless you're a politician, you can have no opinion on politics?

Seems a bit Un-American to me!

I think most people would rather not hear their opinions.

Would you like to go to a concert and have religion pushed on you?

The hysterical right wing harumphing that one would absolutely predict from this website blinds one to the absurd fact that... Maroon 5 is playing the super bowl! You people are overlooking the real outrage here.

frick the taking a knee bullshite. Waters should beg them to not suck for a change.

And yet they believe in an ideology that gives the government total control over people

I post on the PT board, but when I come here I don't want to talk about politics.
When musicians stop pulling this crap, you'll stop seeing this here.

I’d think politics are kind of inherent in PF though no?
