Not to get political but I would say the majority of people in the arts, musicians or actors etc, lean left. They are free thinker's. They aren't conformists.

I post on the PT board, but when I come here I don't want to talk about politics.
There are several posters on this board that also post on the PT board, and we disagree with each other politically, but when we come here, we forget about all of that, and discuss our love of music.
I've seen politics divide our country. Music is something that brings us together, no matter which political ideology we follow. Music reminds us we still have more in common than we have differences.
Please keep politics on the PT Board.

I agree with your point. But the above just doesn't work when musicians that I love keep spouting their politics out for everyone to here. They say never meet your heroes, and there is wisdom in that, but in this day and age it is hard to avoid finding out what bums a lot of them are.
