Great minds, my friend...
Newsted's backing vocals were nothing short of god-like. His playing added even more muscle to Hetfield's mighty riffs. It was so cool that a fan was in the band; it made our connection to them stronger. Rob Trujillo seems like a cool guy, but the current lineup just isn't Metallica to me.

Didn’t care for White Lion, but you’re spot on. He was amazing!

Steven Wilson immediately comes to mind. Dude is a machine. If he's not releasing an album every year, he is also remastering or forming other side projects.

Buckethead IMO. Almost everyone that's heard of him knows about his technical guitar proficiency, so he's not underrated. However alot of people don't know though that he's not just a blistering shredder. His music catalog covers a wide variety of genres and styles of music. In fact I'd say his best music actually is the non-shred stuff.

Nuno Bettencourt is another guitarist who needs to be mentioned. And my two favorite never mentioned anywhere guitar players, Richie Kotzen and Bumblefoot.

Buckethead is a fantastic choice.
I would love to know what that guy looks like IRL

Thundercat. Dude is the closest thing I've heard to Jaco Pastorius on bass.

Also, I'll happily be the first to mention Devin Townsend. It's absurd that his voice has not only withheld his singing, but actually improved over the years. Oh, and he's a damn good guitarist, too.

I don’t think Soundgarden, as individual band members, get the credit deserved as musicians. One of the more underrated bands from a musicianship perspective
