Danny Carey, the drummer from TOOL. Just listen to his work on their song Pneuma, heavenly. He cannot be appreciated enough.

Danny Carey has never once been associated with underappreciated musicians.

He is underrated but gets the right amount of appreciation

Mick Ronson however is underappreciated but not underrated

People who know, know.

He was great (as was Farndon).

Good one. He was amazing in those early 90's Pearl Jam shows.

Tommy Aldridge (drummer)
I saw him back in '83 with Ozzy and have always thought he was one of the best.

As much a part of the Pretenders unique sound as he was, Farndon wasn't half the musician Honeyman-Scott was. And I still think he was partly responsible for JH-S premature death (and certainly his own a year later).

But he did write one of my favorite songs of all time (even though I never have been able to figure out what the hell it's about)

Mitch Mitchell drums Jimi Hendrix Experience

Good one. Mitchell was one of the first that came to mind.

Poco's George Grantham also among drummers. Jack Bruce of Cream on bass.

Dr. Know, the guitarist for the Bad Brains. Banned in DC is incredible, even after all these years.
