Looking back to the the time when BR had a very good Rock scene with good local bands and the venues to match. It was special time in the late 70's/early 80's when BR was just a cool place to be.
Pot Liquor
Maniaxe
Blue Max
And venues like Papa Joe's and the Sports Page come immediately to mind.
Who else was there...........or better yet, who still remembers?

I liked when the Dick Nixons changed their name to the Band Formerly Known As the Dick Nixons, and had a symbol which was a modified handicapped parking sign.

Might have been from N.O., don't remember, but I saw them at a few dives around campus in Baton Rouge back in the day. First time I saw Lillian Axe was in Baton Rouge.

We were probably at the same show.
Look what I found on Youtube. Can't tell you how many times I saw 24k. I remember the guitar player was solid. Don't really remember this song. Sounds a lot like Zebra, but boy, does seeing them bring back memories.
I Gotta Know
