We are getting back to normal

Is it official or did you hear it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, heard it from another?

They're back on the road again...they're on their way

Most disappointing band I've seen live.
Followed closely by the Goo Goo Dolls.

Are they doing an old school bus tour, or is it Time for (Them) to Fly?

Yes! I can’t fight this feeling anymore! I’ll just have to roll with the changes.

Gary Richrath won't be there.

underrated. Love his solos on Golden Country

My first thought when I read the thread title ... no Richrath, no REO Speedwagon.

Go watch Vince Neil's show on YT sometime this month or last month. Dude had to walk out of the show cuz he could not sing anymore. Imagine paying a decent amount of money for a "half show".
I think that yes there are some bands out there that were very successful at one point, but need to retire asap. Toto and Chicago come to mind. I think that Chicago is done, tho.

The Hi Infidelity record was a huge part of my childhood.
Kevin Cronin's voice and the overall production of that record is still nice to hear.

Either the second or third concert I ever saw. Rush was first and then the next two were REO and Styx. I’m not sure of the order. Somewhere I still have an autographed photo of MTV VJ Nina Blackwood from some promotional event before the show. We were sitting behind the stage but we got high fives from the band when they left either at set break or more likely before the encore. I don’t recall if there was actually a set break. Probably not.
A couple of my most distinct memories are A) how they played Time For Me To Fly. Kevin was out there on an acoustic guitar to start the song, the stage was dark except for a lone spotlight on him, and they had fog machines covering the stage in...well...fog. When he got to the “Time for me to fly” lyric, they turned off the fog machines, turned on fans to clear the fog from the stage, and turned on all the lights. It was explosive.
And B) I can’t remember what song it was but Kevin introduced it by talking about this straight-laced pilot they had flying their private plane. However the story went, it ended with him saying that pilot wound up drinking and smoking pot just like the rest of the band. The crowd went nuts. I was too young to have ever tried either. I’m not sure if that was the best message to send, not like I wouldn’t have eventually tried both anyway.
I also recall that the keyboardist seemed kind of wasted but he still played well, especially during his solo on Roll With The Changes which I would swear was stretched out a little bit but I could be misremembering that.

Met Kevin Cronin after an REO show at the HOB in NOLA. Total jerk. Wouldn't talk to any of the fans. Ran off with two skanky groupies (one on each arm), after talking sh*t about his wife on stage the whole night.
