Honestly, this is one of the worst takes I’ve ever heard on music in my life

Rolling Stones > The Beatles

They’re both great and you can appreciate them equally but differently.

Garth Brooks was the greatest entertainer of the 1990's and it wasn't particularly close.

Garth was good but he was no Chris Gaines.

I saw Garth tear the house down at the P-Mac in his prime and can't disagree.

Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" was a really overrated album and it could actually be argued that it really just kind of sucks.

Speaking as an old-timer myself I would make the following analogy.

Beatles=Motown
Stones=Stax

This might be an even worse take than the stupid Zeppelin one that seems to be pissing everyone off.

Jimmy Page has taken shits more talented than Keith Richards. I guess that's why Jimmy Page has played on Rolling Stones records but no Rolling Stones member has played on a Led Zeppelin record.

If you consider Ian Stewart to be the unofficial 6th Rolling Stone he played on Physical Graffiti.

It's by far their worst known song. Shiny Happy may have been a worst thing though.

What I meant was that song changed the direction of the band in a bad way. Stipe became obsessed with writing these touchy, feely, wimpy, emo before it was emo songs and forgot that he was the lead singer of a rock and roll band. REM was never overloaded with testosarone to begin with. Losing My Religion sapped whatever they had right out of the band.

I was going to bring up Stewart. He was a co-founder of the Stones and was a member early on before being asked to take on role as hired piano player and road manager. And he played on two LZ tracks: "Boogie With Stu" and "Rock and Roll"

Do you mean teen spirit? Because that's really one of the weakest songs on that album, despite it being their biggest hit. The rest of the album is much better than that. Drain You is a legit classic, perfect song.

Yes.

Didn't like Drain You at all.

Lol. You're out of your damn mind. This take is even worse than your Zeppelin one.

I believe Bill Wyman played on a shi//y song on that album as well.

However it's still flawed logic. I guess that means Billy Preston, Marianne Faithful, Brian Jones, Eric Clapton, Yoko One, Nicky Hopkins, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Donovan and Graham Nash were all better than, or came from better bands than the Beatles, since they all performed/guested on Beatle recordings.

"This take is even worse than your Zeppelin one."

That wasn't a "take" on Zeppelin. It's factual.

However, you're somewhat correct in the sense that what I said about Marvin Gaye was a "take", or opinion.

Yes, I was aware of Ian Stewart's contributions to Led Zeppelin recordings but Stewart was not an "official" member of the Stones. Since Richards probably felt threatened by anyone more musically talented than him.
