Sublime. Forgot about them, don't get the hype.

meh, it was an era dude. ska was a white version of reggae. ska had its time (early 90s and late 80s) but its pretty much dead now. i can appreciate sublime for what they did and they were good at what they did.

For the Beatles hate...I can understand not enjoying their music, but to say "they suck" is just ignorant. Just bc you don't like something does not mean it isn't quality music. Just as if you like something, doesn't mean its good.

Hate on them all you want, but the Beatles have a place in music history and are all very talented.

FWIW, guitar gently weeps is one of the few Beatles song I will listen to throughout. I'd rather the stones.

If you hate a band, chances are that you think they suck as well.

The thread wasn't titled "name a band you don't like, but has quality music." It said name a band you hate, and I frickin hate The Beatles, so do a few other people apparently.

Exactly. Pointing out your preferences is the point of the thread. Assessing musical talent is not...I don't like Saban, but he doesn't suck. I don't like the Who, it doesn't mean they "fricking suck."

Just trying to make a distinction from preferences and musical talent

I'm suprised at seeing radiohead a few more times. I know people that would fight me if I told them they sucked. I just never understood the hardcore appeal

Radiohead minus 3 or 4 songs that I like

Pink Floyd minus 2 or 3 songs that I like

Grateful Dead - terribly lame IMO

Jethro Tull - can't stand the sound of their songs

Aerosmith minus 3 or 4 songs

As I said earlier, I can appreciate what the Beatles did for music and Rock and Roll, but as a band and a genre of music, I think they suck. Me thinking they suck doesn't diminish what they are to other people nor does it diminish their musical talents as individuals, but my taste in music makes me believe that things I don't like suck. The Beatles are included in that category.

I would bet money there are a couple of bands I like that you think suck, only difference is music snobs haven't deemed those bands untouchable so you get a bunch of butt hurt when you say the Beatles suck.

Buddy Holly- Weezer don't like the song, don't like the band.

Sweet Home Alabama- Lynyrd Skynyrd I'm so burned out on that song. Skynyrd is one of my favorite classic rock bands though.

Tried repeatedly to like this stuff, and don't get the appeal, at all.

The Beatles did more for music than any other band in history. I think you're trying to be edgy by saying you hate them and they suck. Ultra hipster move, bro.
