As many records as they’ve sold, a Super Bowl audience wouldn’t know who they are.

They had The Weekend do the halftime show just a couple years ago. FF aren’t as big as them?

There won’t be any bands asked to play the Super Bowl halftime since Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has had a deal since 2019 to work with the NFL on deciding who “performs”.

The Weekend is much bigger than Foo Fighters. He has more spotify listeners than Taylor Swift.

Ever since Rock Nation and Jay Z took over halftime after the BLM NFL backlash, they have done all hip hop/minority acts. It will be a long time before they do a band IMO. They also have gone more with colabs featuring 2-4 guests on stage.

2021-The Weeknd
2022-Snoop/Dre/Kendrick Lamar/Eminem (my favorite)
2023-Rihanna
2024-Usher

Taylor Swift would be the homerun. Other hip hop artists that have dominated the charts the last few years.

Dua Lipa
Post Malone
Drake
Travis Scott
Doja Cat
Ariana Grande

Honestly looking for rock and it’s in New Orleans, Green Day coming full circle from the domes reopening would be iconic in its own way. Could maybe get bono and edge back for a few bars of a song too, even though they’ve had their own show.

I don’t think it’ll be the choice but if looking for early 200s rock it’s probably the closest thing

The Foo Fighters aren’t anywhere near as big as The Weeknd. There’s three artists on his popularity scale, the Foos aren’t one of them.
