kind of dig the second half of the TT album more. Maybe it’s because I already have heard 3 songs that fall in the first half.

It's a good album but it's probably their worst. That's a really high floor though. Oddly, I like the acoustic version of cat in the rain Evan does live better. It's good on the album but solo Feller is sooooooo much better. The Rut is up there with their best.

I’m the opposite. I love the different arrangement of cat in the rain. Also love what they did with Bottoms Up. Brought me and mean old sun are all timers. The fullbright song and the JJW cover are the only songs that bore me here.

Just everyone needs to quit listening to the Zach. Please do. Seen him twice times and he puts on a show… I’d love to see him in concert one more time but I have a feeling it’s going to be very expensive. So everyone quit listening to him please

As far as the CD …two of the three songs I was looking forward to the most was torniquet and tradesman. He changed that up so much m. YouTube versions much better. Glad he didn’t really frick with fear and Fridays. Love all the collaborations. El dorado is great.

He will be putting out another few songs after the first of the year

Yeah I didn’t care for this Zach Bryan album but to be honest I don’t really love any of his albums as a whole. He has a handful of songs that I like but overall he just is kind of boring to me. I don’t get why he is so hyped up as the next great thing, especially amongst his younger demographic because his songs aren’t really party songs.

I do like this folky country genre but idk, Zach Bryan just hasn’t grabbed me like he has so many others.

Thank you. Tell everyone how overrated he is.

I did see him at Toyota Center a couple months ago and thought he was much better live than his studio albums though. I keep giving him a shot and it’s not like I hate him, I like him okay, I just don’t get why he is being heralded as this great uprising star.

This is how I feel about him also. He’s fine. But I don’t get the hysteria.

Really enjoyed the new Turnpike album. It’s definitely different after a 6 year hiatus and sobriety, but still really good. Glad they’re back! I saw them twice at Red Rocks and once in Greenville SC last year and I wasn’t sure what to expect from the new album, but it delivered.

Haven’t really latched on to anything from the new ZB album. I feel like he needs to slow down on the releases. His Songs and albums are starting to all run together. It’s still new music and still quality music, so I’m still excited

To each his own, but I think the album is amazing.

Agreed. Already listened through about 4-5 times. Crazy how many good songs and albums he just keeps releasing.

I agree with this.

Brought Me is in my Tier 1 category though (Every Girl, Bird Hunters, 7&7, GLL).

On my first casual listen I thought there was a good bit of filler, but it's growing on me. It's a mature album, better than I first thought for sure.

I’m coming around to the ZB release. Great songs. Left some meat on the bone but overall pretty stellar.

After running quickly through them all, the Zach Bryan album is the one that instantly made me say, "I'll be listening to this a lot."

I’m the exact opposite.

Day 3 over reaction:

Cat In The Rain is an all timer. The scene he paints is incredible. I love it.

Zach Bryan is the Stephen King of country music. He’s going to put out a shite ton of material. Most of it will be average at best but it’s going to be unapologetic and he’s gonna land some absolute haymakers from time to time.

I feel like this album is his best effort personally. Solid songwriting and actually took some chances in the production.

What’s your song meaning interpretation? Is it she found him like a stray and gave him another chance?
Everything he paints in verse 3 and 4 is still a little rocky for me. I’m gonna have to look at the lyrics.

turnpike album after listening to it 4 times through: 8/10... there's some gems on this record. songwriting is up there. 3 of the songs to me are some of the best in the TT discography.

zach bryan: still don't really get it. nothing he does really "grabs" me in any way. I don't feel a connection to his music or songwriting and the production is weird.

I think that's most the album. Mean Old Sun he's admitted is about his relationship. The Rut is pretty obvious. CitR sounds like it is about Staci too.

Or to compare him to an actual musician he’s Ryan Adam’s.
