The SEC as a whole as stepped it up in the last 10 years.
2013 - SEC only had 3 teams in the tournament.
#3 Seed Florida, #9 Missouri, and #11 Ole Miss (automatic qualifier)
2024 - 8 teams, with the lowest seed being #9.
ETA: and I don't think Kentucky has dropped much, their competition ...

Auburn - 5 NET, 15 Overall Seed
South Carolina - 51 NET, 24 Overall Seed
Washington State - 44 NET, 26 Overall Seed
New Mexico - 22 NET, 42 Overall Seed
