possibly. Murmur had just come out that previous Spring. My initial roommate at Mag was from Decatur, Ga and had the album. My only thought was "what an awful cover" . then they exploded.

I've still got that box of tapes. Many with the "Record Bar" sticker.

i was working at WEGL when another DJ brought in the original Hibtone 45 of “Radio Free Europe”

i thought it had potential, but the vocals were so far down in the mix i couldn’t understand the lyrics

i didn’t realize at the time that was how they wanted it
