Guthrie Govan
Oz Noy
Wendell Tilley
Tim Mahoney
Chris Cole
Andy Timmons
Greg Howe
Let it be said that swveral listed are well known.
Wendell Tilley is from BR and will be playing Monday at “Pelican to Mars” in BR. Dude is criminally under appreciated and if you are a fan of guitar players and have a chance to catch his set Monday, I think it would be worth your time.

Stephen stills is a really good call too. I remember thinking this at one time too and being really surprised how good he is
JP Jones IMO is somewhat overlooked because he doubled lines a lot, and there just weren’t many Zep songs that featured his bass lines. Very much just played in the mix. But this week I have been listening to music while working outside and hearing bass lines a bit differently because they carried well, “hey hey what can I do” has a really nice bass line. I know he was a converted guitarist
One last entry I have is Bradley Nowell. I honestly think the musical world would have been different today if he was alive when self titled Sublime came out. Very eclectic mix of influences and he was coming into his own and could clearly write hits. On stage he was a mess but could hone it in in the studio.

I feel much the same way about Lindsey Buckingham being incredibly talented but never really recognized as a guitarist
