I wrote the lyrics for the pop punk one (only wrote some of the music), sang most of the clean vocals, and played bass.

So, in other words, the lead vocals? That's impressive. You all playing shows anywhere yet?

On a related note, I have major respect to anyone who can play bass or drums and sing at the same time. That's damn impossible to me. Guitar, sure.

I definitely was not doing both of those things at the same time when tracking that recording

Huge respect for singing drummers. That requires an incredible amount of skill and focus. I frequently sing while playing guitar, and occasionally while playing bass, but I prefer to focus on just one in a live gig setting if I can get away with it.

We gig roughly once or twice a month, mostly around South Louisiana. Have been gigging for a little over 2 years, but went through a big lineup change last summer.

Nice. More posters on the board should hype their live shows. I could see a few venues here on the Coast yours and SpyBoy's bands playing at.

I would love to play the coast. The venues with which I had contacts all closed or changed ownership the past couple years.

They would dig your emo stuff at the Juke Joint, Government Street Grocery, and The Celtic Irish Pub down here. I could see yours and SpyBoy's roots-oriented bands playing at a few of the Murky Waters, The Shed, and Julep Room.

Careful what you wish for! lol.

I'd be happy to post more about our gigs/news if yall are interested. We'd love to get out to the coast for gigs, too.

Before Covid, I used to spam this board with shows and I caught a lot of hate for it.

It’s not like this board is super active. Might as well hype, within reason, the few posters making music out there.

Thanks for sharing. Those bongos. You kind of have that Brad Roberts/Crash Test Dummies bass-baritone vocals going on.

What's your recording setup?

I think it’s more fun if you just have to make assumptions based on my posts.

ha, fair enough

here's the latest release from my old college band - we still record remotely, planning on getting together in person for a show or two in the next year or so

The Moderns - Down Low

whole album is on all the streaming services, here's a Spotify link:
